Tower Hill Barns Shoot

Updated: Jan 29, 2021

For a few years iv wanted to do a styled shoot with Richard Miller Photography , iv done many weddings with rich and with us always being so busy with weddings we have just never got around to getting one organised.........then we hit the pandemic.

as most of us from the wedding industry have been hit hard with lack of work- for obvious reasons, to keep positive and look forward to the future, as soon as it was possible with regulations slightly lifted we jumped straight on the chance of a styled shoot.

Rich confirmed with The Tower Hill Barns that we could use their beautiful venue for our styled shoot...... and then all the planning commenced from there.

Our fabulous models for the day were one of rich's own bride and groom, Emma and Phil were fantastic in front of the camera, with 3 dress changes and 2 hairstyles and 3 makeup adjustments Emma was just the picture of perfection...don't you think?

the first dress Emma wore was her own from her wedding day, a black lace couture dress- absolutely stunning and a nice change from the traditional ivory dress. we went for a smouldering eye makeup and glossy curls and finished with our very own Bridal Accessory "Mia" a showstopper for any bride this glitzy hair slide can be found on our Webshop.

The two other bridal dresses were given to us by the lovely Karen Lesley Bridal both completely different in style, and one to include a cape- wow what a difference that made to the whole look, a great alternative to the brides who don't want to wear a veil.

I'm totally loving the new neon backdrops supplied from Glamour Events hire -Nat it was lovely to have you onboard the shoot your attention to detail in things is amazing i just love these signs, think of the selfie pics you can get with these backdrops.

then to switch it up a little we had Vivid Floral with their oval arch complimented with florals to fit in with our colour theme, Vivid floral also did two beautiful flower bouquets and also a stunning flower crown, along with a beautiful table floral display.......i cant tell you enough my love for flower crowns, I would be pretty happy if i could wear one everyday. its just something about real fresh flowers in a well structured hair do that just gives me so much joy.

Now lets talk cake!

my other passion in life (apart from hair and makeup) is obviously eating cake- I'm definitely a cake snob. but Julie from Red Rose Cakes -took on my random request for a dark and light themed cake to go with the theme of our shoot, and brought not just one, but two incredible and so different in style cakes.

I wish you could have smell-vision because they just smelt amazing- and look how beautiful they looked.

the black cake went so well with the meadow background and the lighter cake fitted better with the décor of the inside- apart from the fact it was ridiculously hot that day........no one likes a melting cake

The day was so fun filled and full of many laughs, it was so nice being back in work and feeling some sort of normality doing our jobs again, obviously with some restrictions so it is always going to be different but nether less still lovely to create something so beautiful and have such a lovely day with these talented wedding suppliers.

suit hire is from Trefor Jones ltd

Working with Richard Miller Photography and Mathew Lloyd Videography we were definitely not short of jokes, which makes working with such suppliers a dream- but jokes aside, they have captured the most incredible images and also for Mathew capturing the day and create such a awesome video to show everyone of how much fun the day was is great to always look back on. i have worked with both these men on numerous weddings and just love their style and vision for their job, it really is a true talent.
