To say I was shocked is a massive understatement. iv stayed away from awards event for the last 2 years due to having my second baby and really wanting to focus on my quality of work, and just generally being super busy with bridal bookings- all you brides sure do keep me busy.
So when I had confirmation from the 3rd welsh wedding awards that I was a finalist I was overjoyed.
In all honesty the first thoughts of mine, was not yeyyyyyy I'm a finalist, it was yippee an evening away child free with my husband - a double celebration.
so off we went to Cardiff on the 19th February 2020 for only one night away but believe me that's a massive treat for us. and when we arrived at the Exchange Hotel it was absolutely stunning hotel right in the middle of Cardiff.
The awards ceremony started at 6.30pm with an amazing 3 course dinner with delicious food and ridiculous amounts of flavoured gins for me - whoop whoop.
The was an amazing live singer wow what an incredible voice that lady had.
To have won the "Highly commended award - Best Hair & Makeup" for the whole of Wales is a massive achievement for my business especially only in my fourth year of trading. And its all a massive thank you to my wonderful brides for taking the time to vote for me and to leave their review of their experience in using Cassie M for their wedding day- it really does mean so so much to me to be so highly thought of.
Going to Cardiff and bumping into so many other incredible wedding suppliers from all over wales was such a lovely surprise, I've worked with Stacey from Stacey Oliver Photography many times, I adore her work and such a lovely woman to enjoy her company, Stacey won the "Highly commended award in the best Photography" category , and we all enjoyed some cocktails to celebrate that evening - seem as this was our last outing before Covid hit.
who knows what 2021 will bring but if its more nominations and being a finalist then bring it on!!
