What to consider when choosing your bridal hair

Is this you?

Choosing the perfect hairstyle for your wedding day can be daunting. After hours of looking for inspiration on social media, you can be left feeling overwhelmed and confused.

Do you find yourself asking these questions?

- Should I wear my hair up or down?

- Will my style hold all day and night?

-Does this look even suit me?

-Knowing which bridal hairstyle is best for your hair type will guide you in picking the perfect style for your wedding day.

Figuring out what will work for you......

When considering different styles, it’s important to be realistic about what your hair can do. This is definitely something to discuss with your Bridal Stylist as you may be pleasantly surprised. For example, a great set of extensions can transform short, fine hair, giving you the ability to wear a beautiful full bun. Or, with the right tools and products, your fizzy flyaway fluff can be turned into totally tamed tresses.

Once you have a good idea of your options, look for inspiration, specifically for those styles. It’s nice to start off with quite a few images to draw from, but don’t go crazy as this will lead to information overload and make it harder to choose. It’s best to find images of real brides with hairstyles you like so you get a true representation. This will make it way easier to figure out what will suit you best.

Medium Length and Long Hair

Long hair is so versatile when it comes to wedding styles. Waves and braiding are the most popular looks right now. This relaxed, Bohemian vibe is an easy-to-wear option that you can really personalize and feel comfortable in all day.

You can choose a romantic half-up look, loose waves, or a glamourous braid accompanied by some beautiful hair pins. And don’t think your hair has to be super long to achieve these looks. In fact, medium length hair with long layers is often the perfect hair type if you want to create movement and volume in your style.

Fine Hair

Fine hair can do a lot more than you may think! There are techniques that will make your hair appear thicker and fuller, not to mention padding and extensions to add the volume you need. Your hair can still look very natural and not over-styled, depending on what you’re after. But if you’d prefer something with a little less effort required, you can opt for a loosely waved, light and airy up do. Accessories often play a big role in these styles, drawing attention to your overall look like in the picture above are both exactly the same style.

Accessories

The finishing touches to every hair style is what accessory will be in the hair. the choices for this are endless, from hair vines to clips, combs to slides and pearl encrusted hairbands.

this i would say should be discussed with your hairstylist either on your trial or just before you trial so you can purchase one for your trial date.

please feel free to look on our hair accessory guide.
